Card Carousel

Card Carousel is used to show various displays of card groupings.

Card Carousel is used when there are 3 or more cards.

Card Carousel is used with Card Images and Card Perspectives.

Card Carousel Tagging Strategies Based on Page Type and Card Type:

There are 4 carousel options. These options may be dynamic or static. Within the options, there are different card styles that can be selected.

Carousel for Dynamic URLs

Select specific URLs of pages to curate cards to display.

When to use: Carousel on home page where tags may not be able to pull up the exact pages to be promoted

Carousels can display the following card types:

Select tags, and if there are pages tagged with those tags, they will display up to max number of cards.

When to use: Success stories pages, blog post pages, solution and solution subcategory pages, industry and industry subsector pages
Limitation: If you have Card Carousel set at 8 cards max, and you select tags for content type = blog post and content type = press releases, and there are 8 blog posts matching your criteria, then those 8 blog posts will display first and no press releases will be shown even though the press release tag was applied; use Dynamic Tags - Customized option to work around this limitation)

Select one or more tags and the number of items to display per tag.

When to use: When you want to be sure to have a variety of page types represented in a given carousel

Select this option when the card needs to promote a page that is not currently hosted within AEM, such as third party offer.
