Templates
Each site has the following:
- Footer XF, which can be used on any template, except for Minimal Header and Footer template
- Minimal Footer XF, which can be used only on the Minimal Header and Footer template
Components
Components that make up the Footer XF experience:
- Global Footer
- Contact Us - this is where contact info is hosted
- Copyright & Disclaimers - this is where copyright and other statement are hosted
- Please note: An absolute URL must be used when authoring the "Terms and Conditions" link (AAS-520 opened to enable a path to be used instead of an absolute URL to match rest of AEM implementation)
- Properties - this is where the Minimal Template option can be selected
- Logo
- Use same logo for all sites, except for China site, which has a localized logo
- Footer List
- Use relative local site path, absolute en site link, third party link, or document link as needed
- If linking to an en page from an international site, check box for "Open in New Tab"
- If linking to a third party URL from any AEM site, check box for "Open in New Tab"
- If linking to a document, even if hosted in AEM Assets, check box for "Open in New Tab"
- Use relative local site path, absolute en site link, third party link, or document link as needed
Authoring
Follow the Linking rules when authoring the footer components:
- Same site (page or asset) = use relative path
- Different AEM site or third party site = use absolute URL
- Coveo parameters =
- If same site, use relative path + .html + Coveo dynamic parameters (starts with a #)
- If different AEM site, use absolute URL with trailing / + Coveo dynamic parameters (starts with a #)
