MediaValet

There are two workflows set up between MediaValet and AEM Assets.

Workflow 1 - Images and PDFs

Launched April 2024

This workflow allows images and pdfs in MediaValet to be imported into AEM Assets.

These assets can be found on web pages throughout the aveva.com and aveva.cn websites.

Workflow 2 - Presentations

Launch September 2024

This workflow allows video thumbnail images for presentations to be imported into AEM Assets. These video thumbnail images will include the necessary metadata and content to create presentation landing pages on the English aveva.com website.

Presentation web pages are published in the Resources section: https://www.aveva.com/en/perspectives/presentations/

Once pdfs are synced between MediaValet and AEM Assets, and the pdfs are hosted in the correct AEM Assets folder, and the pdfs linked on the webpages in the applicable components, then the MediaValet ID tracking data should be captured in the new MediaValet dashboards.

Tracking is enabled within these components:

• Smart Button - Select Action = Download, and check "Display Inline" 
  • Smart Button may be used in conjuntion with these components:
    • Accordion
    • Accordion with Card
    • Announcement
    • Background Container
    • Card Icons
    • Card Images (static version)
    • Card Perspectives (static version)
    • Hero Banner
    • Quote

Tracking is enabled within these components:

• Secondary Navigation
• Footer List
• List (Fixed list option)

Tracking is enabled through the Card Properties > External URL field, and this will impact the following components that feature a CTA link generated from the External URL:

• Card Images (dynamic version)
• Card Perspectives (dynamic version)
• List (dynamic version with Child list option)
• Coveo search results links (pending development)

Tracking will never be possible in these components:

• Text
• Any component that has a RTE field
