Thesaurus
It may be helpful in some cases to create a thesaurus for terms if you find that users are searching for an old product name instead of a new product name, or they are using British English instead of American English.
- Used for former and current product names
- Used for American English vs. British English terms
Page Properties
Page Properties should be completed for every page that is created within AEM. These properties are foundational to both internal and external search functionality.

- Page Label (for internal search - used to display a page label for each search result)

For internal search: These fields must include the keyword being searched in order to come up high in the results.
Assets
Assets are not currently set up to be found in search results.
There are currently two challenges with assets:
- Weighting enhancements (per AAS-60) would need to be done to display pages before assets in internal results.
- Most assets in the DAM are missing the Title and Description content, which means they would display empty content in the search results if they are not authored to include this required information
